Argentina’s Defence Ministry Signs Letter Of Intent With HAL To Acquire Light And Medium Utility Helicopters

HAL and Argentina’s Ministry of Defence inked a Letter of Intent (LoI) on Thursday for constructive cooperation and the acquisition of Light and Medium Utility Helicopters for its armed forces.

In a statement, the Bengaluru-headquartered PSU stated, “The Memorandum of Understanding was signed today by Argentinian Defence Minister Jorge Taiana, and HAL Chairman and Managing Director C B Ananthakrishnan”.

Ananthakrishnan and other senior company officers briefed the visiting guests on HAL’s different activities and gave a presentation on the occasion.

“Taiana and his team attended the flying exhibition of several HAL products at HAL Airport during the day-long program. The team also visited the LCA and Helicopter Divisions and expressed strong interest in HAL products”, the statement added.
