15 February 2023: The fuel rates held constant on 15 February 2023 i.e. Wednesday. Moreover, Union Home Minister Amit Sha contended that India will be able to achieve the goal of a 20 per cent ethanol blend in petrol by the next two years.

Addressing a gathering at Haryana Cooperative Export House (HAFED)Notably, the Union Minister made these claims after inaugurating various projects of the Haryana Cooperative Department, including a Rs 150 crore ethanol project to establish plants in cooperative sugar mills.
“How the ethanol project being started by the Haryana government will enhance the income of cooperative sugar mills,” he said.
According to him, if the government can achieve the target, it will reduce oil import costs by nearly 20 per cent in the next two years, eventually lowering the burden on the government.
The union minister also shared the video of the event on his Twitter handle, which he wrote in Hindi, “Addressing the program organized on the occasion of the inauguration and foundation stone laying of various schemes of Haryana Cooperative Department.”
