The Atal Innovation Mission’s (AIM) Community Innovator Fellows (CIFs) programme is making significant strides in empowering innovators in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, according to Dr. Chintan Vaishnav, Mission Director at AIM.
During his keynote address at NITI Aayog, marking the graduation of the second batch of CIFs on Friday, Dr. Vaishnav highlighted the programme’s crucial role in developing solutions in healthcare, education, agriculture, and financial services, all aligning with the principles of sustainable development.
Dr. Vaishnav highlighted the establishment of robust institutions integrating business incubation with academia, aiming to set a model of excellence.
He emphasized that the Community Innovator initiative captures the aspirations of youth eager to transcend traditional boundaries in innovation and startups.
Dr. Vaishnav asserted that it embodies both rigor and relevance, truly inspiring in its mission and impact.
Through the Atal Community Innovation Centres (ACIC) programme, AIM aims to serve unserved and underserved areas of the country, providing support to grassroots innovators and accelerating progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
Anurag Pratap Singh, Vice President & CSR Leader at Capgemini India, praised the innovators for serving as role models and contributing positively to both their communities and society at large. He expressed his delight in witnessing each business prosper, likening it to crafting raw gold into precious jewels.
Dr. Suresh Reddy, Lead CSR & Director at SRF Foundation, also reflected on the impact of social entrepreneurship in addressing community challenges, underscoring the significant contributions made by these fellows.
