Adani Power Limited Profit Jumps 64% To Rs 4,271 Crore In Q4

On Wednesday, Adani Power Limited reported a sharp rise in its quarterly earnings, with consolidated net profit increasing 64 per cent year-on-year to Rs 4,271 crore for the quarter ended March 31.

The company’s revenue for the fourth quarter grew 10 per cent to Rs 15,989 crore, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 27 per cent to Rs 6,498 crore, according to its regulatory filing.

Electricity sales during the quarter stood at 27.2 billion units, slightly higher than 26.4 billion units recorded in the same period last year, supported by steady demand under long-term supply contracts.

For the full financial year FY26, the company posted a net profit of Rs 12,971 crore, marginally higher than Rs 12,750 crore in the previous year.

Annual revenue came in at Rs 55,583 crore, impacted by lower prices in the merchant power segment.

Total power generation during the year reached 105 billion units, while overall sales volumes rose 3.4 per cent to 99.15 billion units.

The company also strengthened its long-term business outlook, with capacity tie-ups reaching 13.3 GW.

In the fourth quarter, it secured a 1,600 MW power purchase agreement with Maharashtra’s distribution utility, increasing the share of contracted operating capacity to around 95 per cent.

Management said thermal power continues to play an important role in ensuring grid stability as renewable energy capacity expands in the country.

Chief Executive Officer SB Khyalia stated that despite global energy market volatility and fluctuations in demand, the company remains on track with its 23.7 GW expansion plans and expects continued growth. He further added that conventional energy sources, including coal, will remain important for meeting rising electricity demand while supporting the transition to cleaner energy.
