The Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) has partnered with the Adani Group as its title sponsor for the 2025 season, which will begin on 12 June at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.
Organised by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association, the men’s tournament has grown from five to seven teams.
The Bundelkhand and Chambal regions have joined the competition, broadening the league’s reach.
MPL Chairman Shri Mahanaaryaman Scindia welcomed the partnership.
He said, “We are happy to have Adani Group as our title sponsor. Their commitment to sports development aligns with our goal of making MPL one of India’s top cricket leagues. We expect an exciting season.”
A spokesperson from Adani Group further added, “We are thrilled to associate with the Madhya Pradesh League. We are also excited about the inclusion of Women’s Cricket this year. It promotes gender inclusivity and gives aspiring women cricketers a strong platform. We look forward to inspiring performances.”
Meanwhile, Gwalior will host the entire league again, just like the inaugural 2024 season.
On Tuesday, officials unveiled new jerseys for all 10 franchises during a ceremony attended by players and dignitaries.
Moreover, the 2025 season introduces a Women’s Cricket League, which will run alongside the men’s matches.
The women’s competition features three teams, including one from Bhopal. This expansion boosts the league’s commitment to inclusive growth in Indian cricket.
Men’s teams: Gwalior Cheetahs, Bhopal Leopards, Jabalpur Royal Lions, Rewa Jaguars, Indore Pink Panthers, Chambal Ghariyals, Bundelkhand Bulls.
Women’s teams: Chambal Ghariyals, Bhopal Wolves, Bundelkhand Bulls.
