Adani Foundation Raises Awareness on World Health Day, Campaign Targets Effects of Junk Food with Rallies and Posters

Today, on World Health Day, the Fortune Nutrition Project, spearheaded by the Adani Foundation, was commemorated in the slums of various city areas including Badi Gabi, Makdoombaba, Sudmapur, Rajghat, and Koniya. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of junk food through rallies and informative posters. Additionally, the community’s women were educated about the importance of reducing fast food consumption through visual aids.

To engage the community further, a poster-making competition was held, rewarding outstanding participants. Nutrition Officer Mamta Yadav provided detailed insights into maintaining a healthy lifestyle, particularly emphasizing balanced diets for lactating mothers and pregnant women.

Accompanying the initiative were nutrition assistant officers Jugal Keshari and Sujata Yadav, along with community members Soni Maurya, Bindu Patel, Preeti Maurya, Sonalika Singh, Jyoti Chaudhary, Rita Verma, and Jyoti Bharti.

Under the Fortune Suposhan Project, the Adani Foundation is bolstering nutrition security in 640 villages nationwide, including Varanasi, benefitting 56,264 individuals. Since its establishment in 1996, the Adani Foundation has extended its reach across 18 states, encompassing 2,410 villages and towns. With a dedicated team of professionals, the foundation’s vision prioritizes innovation, public involvement, and collaboration.

By focusing on education, community health, sustainable livelihood development, and infrastructure, the foundation has positively impacted the lives of over 3.67 million people. Its mission revolves around fostering inclusive growth and sustainable development in both rural and urban communities, thus contributing significantly to nation-building efforts.
