Adani Enterprises, Jabil Plan 50:50 JV For AI, Data Centre Equipment

Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) and US-based Jabil Inc have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). They plan to form a 50:50 joint venture to manufacture AI and data centre equipment in India.

Announced on October 13, 2026, the partnership aims to build a multi-gigawatt manufacturing platform. It would serve domestic and global markets.

The venture requires binding agreements, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.

The MoU builds on the companies’ strategic alliance announced in June 2026.

The proposed venture would manufacture AI racks, servers, storage systems and networking equipment. Its product range would include power distribution units, transformers and liquid-cooling systems. It would serve hyperscalers, neocloud providers, data centre operators and enterprises.

The venture would offer installation and commissioning services.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said the AI revolution needs an integrated industrial ecosystem. He highlighted energy, hyperscale infrastructure, advanced computing and precision manufacturing. He said the partnership would combine Jabil’s engineering expertise with Adani’s strengths in energy, infrastructure and data centres.

Jabil CEO Mike Dastoor said the agreement would advance plans for large-scale AI infrastructure manufacturing in India. He highlighted India’s growing role in meeting domestic and global demand. Jabil brings 60 years of engineering and manufacturing experience.

Industry estimates project India’s data centre capacity to hit 5-8 GW by 2030.

The global AI infrastructure market could exceed $3 trillion over the next seven years.

The venture would support domestic manufacturing and exports. It would complement Adani Group’s $100 billion commitment to develop 5 GW of green-energy-powered, AI-ready data centres by 2035.

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, supports data protection.

Jabil posted $36 billion in fiscal 2026 revenue. It expanded its data centre business by acquiring Hanley Energy Group and Mikros Technologies.
