Adani Electricity Powers 700+ Mumbai Pandals For Navratri, Durga Puja

Adani Electricity has extended temporary electricity connections to more than 700 Navratri and Durga Puja pandals across Mumbai this festive season.

The utility has placed nearly 850 floodlights at different venues to improve lighting and help protect devotees.

Residents across Mumbai are participating in the celebrations, with Garba events drawing devotees to several locations. These include Dharmaveer Sambhaji Ground in Khotwadi, Santacruz West, and the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Pandal at SNDT University Ground in Juhu. Adani Electricity has supplied power to both venues.

Earlier this month, Adani Electricity introduced faster arrangements for festival organisers, promising temporary connections within 48 hours after receiving complete applications.

The company encouraged organisers to obtain authorised electricity connections and follow prescribed safety requirements. These measures aim to provide dependable power while reducing the risks associated with unsafe or unauthorised connections during the festive period.

The utility has continued its support for large public celebrations following the Ganesh festival, during which it issued approximately 1,100 temporary connections to Ganpati pandals.

During last year’s Navratri and Durga Puja celebrations, the company maintained uninterrupted electricity supply to more than 653 pandals within its distribution area.

Adani Electricity has positioned dedicated Quick Response Teams to tackle power faults and restore electricity when disruptions occur.

The teams will remain prepared throughout the festivities and will follow a comprehensive restoration plan.

The company has advised pandal organisers to appoint licensed electrical contractors for wiring and installation work. It has stressed the importance of using approved electrical equipment and materials to minimise safety risks.

These arrangements seek to keep Mumbai’s festive venues illuminated, support uninterrupted celebrations and encourage organisers to adopt safe, authorised electricity practices.
