In a strategic move aimed at bolstering India’s indigenous defence capabilities, Adani Defence & Aerospace, the defence arm of the Adani Group, has forged a crucial partnership with Thales Group to manufacture 70mm rockets within the country.
This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and the vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.
Thales Group, a global leader in aerospace and defence, expressed strong commitment to India through this venture, emphasizing its role in strengthening global partner networks.
“This partnership with the Adani Group underscores our dedication to India and reinforces our strategic objectives,” stated a spokesperson from Thales Group.
Adani Defence & Aerospace, renowned for its expertise in developing cutting-edge defence technologies, views this agreement as pivotal in advancing domestic manufacturing capabilities.
Earlier this month, the company also entered into a notable agreement with EDGE Group, based in the UAE, further expanding its global footprint in defence and aerospace.
The collaboration between Adani Defence & Aerospace and Thales Group aims to harness local manufacturing expertise while leveraging Thales’ advanced technology in rocket systems.
This initiative is to not only support the growth of India’s defence sector but also cater to both domestic and international markets.
“We are excited about partnering with Thales Group to manufacture their 70mm rockets in India,” said a representative from Adani Defence & Aerospace.
“This aligns perfectly with our commitment to enhance self-reliance in defence production and contribute significantly to India’s defence preparedness.”
