English-love of Rahul Gandhi being in India as a Hindustani

English or Hindi? : India has always been debating on the language of Indian education. Now for last ten years, this debate is rarely heard. But the issue is still the same.

English or Hindi? : Now in Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi is heard strongly advocating for English medium education. Rahul says that the BJP opposes the study of English because it does not want the welfare of the country’s poor, farmers, laborers and children of the villagers.

English or Hindi? : Rahul asks – ‘Why do BJP leaders send their children to English medium schools?’ This allegations made by Rahul on BJP leaders is correct till some extent, however, Rahul himself should tell whether he himself and his sister have studied in Hindi medium schools?

All the leaders of the country or the people belonging to Indian elite class send their children to English medium schools because India is still mentally slave, without any doubt. All Indian high jobs are available for English medium kids. India’s laws are made in English, even country’s governments and courts are also run their functions in English only.

BJP is supporting own language for education

In India’s new education policy, the BJP has urged to conduct primary education through the medium of students’ own language, which is absolutely correct. But many provincial governments, both the BJP and Congress, are encouraging English medium schools. Learning a foreign language is one thing and making it the medium of your studies is quite another.

Foreign languages are also needed for outside purpose

In fact, studying through the medium of your own language does not mean that you should boycott foreign languages. Apart from Hindi, our kids can also learn Sanskrit, German, French, Spanish, Russian, etc. The foreign language is a help for students going outside India, but otherwise our own language is so vast, impactful and powerful that for any knowledge, learning or skill we do not need any outside language.

Poor kids have no access to English medium schools

English is imposed on Indian people. Rahul Gandhi’s argument is correct that poor and rural children do not study in English schools, so they lag behind. They should also study English and go to America and defeat the Americans too. But the question is: How many of our students go to America or abroad?

For going abroad the language of the country can be learnt in one or two years

Why should crores of students be suffocated for the sake of a few thousand students? Those who want to go abroad, they must learn the language of that country in a year or two, but what is the wisdom of keeping a foreign language as the medium of education for sixteen long years and imposing it on crores of children? Why should your chosen grass be imposed on a deer?

Vernacular-medium education is the best

If our leaders want that children of poor, rural, backward, farmers and laborers also get equal opportunities in life, then vernacular-medium education should be made compulsory for all children in the country. There should be a strict ban on English medium education. We should not depend only on English for foreign contacts.

Foreign languages can also be studied on purpose

Along with English for foreign trade, foreign policy and higher research, studies of many foreign languages like French, German, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Japanese etc. should also be accessible in India. Foreign language is not the medium of instruction for students in any prosperous and powerful nation of the world. So why can’t India change the ridiculous English era education system?
