Adani Controversy With Mud On The ‘Lotus-Jersey’

Indian Parliament lately witnessed an entire week being spent on the so-called expose of the Adani group, yet the denizens of India have not gotten any concrete info about the whole scam. Though the Adani group has issued hundreds of pages of rebuttal claiming that nothing was wrong, but in vain.

Apparently all Adani accounts are clean. It has also been declared by the Reserve Bank of India that all Adani transactions are authentic. Nevertheless, it is surprising, on this issue so far there is no official response from Indian Government. PM Modi, responding to the debate on the President’s speech, as always, came up with a very aggressive speech through which he almost destroyed the Congress. However, the Prime Minister did not utter a single word over the Adani group controversy.

Looking at the opposition’s view, this silence raises doubt about the entire saga. Rahul Gandhi along with Congress President Kharge tried to make many serious allegations against Modi while citing many examples of Modi-Adani ‘connection’ too, but for them paying attention to one basic thing is also necessary. In a country like India economic progress has to have close coordination between the government and the industrialists.

Everyone is well aware of the fact that during the social governance of Pandit Nehru, the Prime Minister’s proximity with Tata, Birla, Dalmia etc. was well-defined. This is also well known that Adani and Ambani groups progressed only during Congress-Raj and now they have started flying in Modi-Raj. Both the groups are basically Gujaratis whereas the top political duo – Narendra Modi and Amit Shah – are also Gujaratis.

Their relationship may have been somewhat close and informal, but it is very important to explore if illegal means have been used to propel these industrialists forward. These illegal tactics also become easy because it is much easier to impress our corrupt bureaucracy by showing fluff of relations.

Loss of billions of rupees to Adani-Group is being felt almost daily. If the hard-earned money of lakhs of shareholders starts going in loss, then anger might explode on the Modi government only. Foreign industrialists and capitalists will also be shaken. That is why it would be wise not to ignore the mud that is being thrown at the government. Right now only the bankrupt opposition is spewing this mud, but if this mud starts being spewed among the public, then nobody will be able to save the ‘lotus’ grown out of it, from getting dirty.
