Watching videos of wild animals in their natural environments is always fascinating.
If there's an uncommon animal in the video, it gets even more exciting.
Susanta Nanda, an Indian Forest Service officer, provided a flawless illustration of that on X.
Mr. Nanda, who frequently posts videos of wildlife, posted a little clip of a family of tiger family that were spotted in the forests of Odisha.
Notably, the melanistic tigers - a rare gene pool on which the black stripes are far more prominent than the Royal Bengal Tiger's - are found only in Odisha.
Because of their intricate and dark stripe patterns, they are frequently referred to as "black tigers."
A camera trap, a tool for tracking wildlife populations and behaviour, caught this unusual tiger.
All it takes to set up a camera trap is a digital camera and an infrared sensor, which can detect moving objects like animals.
They are meant to obtain critical data about wildlife and their habitats, species location, population sizes, and how species are interacting.
