PM Modi on deepfakes and AI at the G20 meeting, Key points here

During the inaugural speech of the G20 virtual summit, which India is hosting as president, Prime Minister Modi stated, "The world is worried about the negative effects of AI."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi supported calls for international rules on artificial intelligence while reiterating his concerns about deepfakes, which produce incredibly lifelike pictures.

"We have to acknowledge the risks that deepfakes pose to both people and society," Prime Minister Modi stated.

PM Modi addressed the G20 leaders, saying, "India's thinking is clear: we have to work together on global regulation of AI."

During the G20 virtual conference, Prime Minister Modi stated, "There are growing concerns on negative use of AI across the world."

PM Modi continued, "Artificial Intelligence (AI) should reach people and must be safe for society."

India will hold the G20 Presidency through November 30.
