After the success of Chandrayaan-3, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) achieved another record on Friday.
Indian Space Agency has successfully tested the technology of generating electricity in space. Fuel cell technology has been successfully tested by ISRO
ISRO is thinking about providing energy to the space station in the future with the aid of this technology.
It's been reported that this technology will eventually help supply energy to bikes and cars.
ISRO said on Friday that it has tested a new type of cell that is more efficient and lower cost than traditional battery cells.
The National Space Agency said it designed a 'high energy density Li-ion cell based on 10 Ah silicon-graphite-anode'
It is a lighter-weight and lower-cost alternative to conventional cells currently in use.
The space agency said in a statement that the flight test of the cell as a battery was also successfully completed during the launch of PSLV-C58 on January 1.
Based on the confidence gained through this demonstration, these cells are designed for use in upcoming operational missions
