Donald Trump Assassination : A Look Back At The Four Assassinations Of U.S. Presidents In American History

The attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump by a 20-year-old gunman at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday has reignited the fear of political violence in the United States, including the assassination of Presidents and presidential candidates.

Although the former Republican President survived his injuries, at least four presidents in the United States have been assassinated while in office, including the 16th President Abraham Lincoln in 1865 and the 35th President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

1. 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln (1865)

2. The 20th US President, James Garfield (1881)

3. Republican President William McKinley was shot in 1901

4. John F Kennedy, the 35th President, was assassinated in 1963
