On November 26, India observes Samvidhan Divas, also known as Constitution Day.

Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, who chaired the Constituent Assembly's drafting committee and was instrumental in the creation of the Constitution, would have turned 132 this year.

This day was once observed as Law Day, but the Indian government changed its name to Constitution Day in 2015.

India's 1949 adoption of its constitution took place on November 26. On January 26, 1950, the Constitution went into effect.

The statue of BR Ambedkar will be erected on Supreme Court property in the interim. According to reports, President Droupadi Murmu will dedicate the statue on Sunday at 10.30 am, and the event will be broadcast live on television.

Statues of BR Ambedkar with raised hands can be seen in most of the nation's small and large cities, towns, and villages, encouraging people to move forward.
