A 'nagada' (drum) weighing 500-kg arrived in Ayodhya from Gujarat on Thursday in a special chariot
The Drum was brought ahead of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple, scheduled for January 22.
The 'nagada' has been prepared by the people of the Dabgar community in the Daryapur extension of Karnavati, Gujarat
The trust's general secretary Champat Rai said the drum would be installed on the Ram temple premises.
It has been prepared to withstand exposure to sunlight and rain without damage,
The drum's structure has been made using iron and copper plates.
The instrument came as part of the upcoming celebrations after a Gujarat Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader sent a letter to the temple trust requesting them to accept it.
