India vs Pakistan: How Will the Ahmedabad Weather Impact the match

By-Srushti sharma

On October 14, whether it's in the stadium or in front of our TVs at home, we will all be glued to our seats come afternoon.

The neighbours are poised to fight each other in a fierce match after India defeated Australia and Afghanistan and Pakistan defeated the Netherlands and Sri Lanka.

India and Pakistan will square off in this highly anticipated ICC Men's ODI Cricket World Cup . This will be the team's first time playing on Indian soil in seven years.

Even with the enormous stadium's 132,000 seats, tickets are hard to come by. Nearly every hotel and guest house in the city is fully booked.

While the Indian team arrived this afternoon, the Pakistani cricket team had already arrived in the capital of Gujarat on Wednesday.

According to IMD forecasts, westerly winds that are now dominating the area may cause Ahmedabad to see light rain as well as the potential for cloudy skies throughout day.

Precipitation is possible in the early morning hours and possibly just before the Saturday 2 PM kickoff. There will not be any chance of rain during match hours.

The pitch will be drier if the weather is dry, the skies are clear, and the temperature is high. This is excellent news for batters but less so for bowlers because the ball won't swing as much.
