During the Gaganyaan mission, the astronauts are housed in Crew Module (CM), which has a pressurized atmosphere similar to that of Earth
CM is an unpressurized version that has finished its integration and testing and is prepared to be transported to the launch complex for Test Vehicle Abort mission-1 (TV-D1)
This unpressurized CM version must be the same mass and size as a genuine Gaganyaan CM
All of the systems for acceleration and recovery are housed there. With its full complement of pyrotechnics, recovery aids, and parachutes
For navigation, sequencing, telemetry, instrumentation, and power, the avionics systems in CM are set up in a dual redundant mode
In this mission, the CM is heavily instrumented to record flight data for assessing the effectiveness of several technologies
After touching down in the Bay of Bengal, the Crew Module will be collected by an Indian Navy dive crew and special vessel
The Crew Module (CM), Crew Escape Systems (CES), with their fast-acting solid motors, the Crew Module Fairing (CMF), and Interface Adapters make up the payloads.
