In the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, enormous asteroids are frequently observed orbiting the Sun
But if they stray from that area and go in the direction of a collision with Earth, they might also be a threat to our planet
The end of the dinosaurs on Earth 65 million years ago is a prime example of such a blunder in history
These asteroids can definitely kill Earth
Five of these hazardous asteroids are currently heading straight towards Earth!
According to reports, the largest of them all has a 130-foot diameter, which is equivalent to an airplane
According to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), it is known as Asteroid 2023 HX and will make the closest approach at a distance of 4.19 million miles
The speed of an asteroid, which is about the size of an airliner, is 42404 kilometers per hour
JPL at NASA classifies any space rocks larger than 150 meters that approach Earth within 4.6 million miles as potentially dangerous. The good news is that 2023 HX has not been identified as a hazard to Earth
