ISRO conducted an unmanned test flight for its Gaganyaan human spaceflight mission

The test took place at Sriharikota and tested the crew escape system

The crew module successfully separated from the rocket and made a soft sea landing

The mission aimed to demonstrate the efficiency of the crew escape system for emergencies

The test vehicle mission was labeled Test Vehicle D1

The lift-off was initially scheduled for 8 am but was revised to 8.45 am

A countdown issue occurred just 5 seconds before the launch but was resolved

 The Gaganyaan program plans to send humans into a Low Earth Orbit for three days
