Solar Storm Paints the Sky in orange-Hued Auroras: An Enchanting Celestial Show!

October 8, Israel declared war against Hamas, shortly after its agents had killed over 1300 Israelis and foreigners

However, there is an issue with the picture: auroras with an orange hue shouldn't exist.

it showed a unique combination of red and green lights that haven't been this apparent since a massive solar storm struck Earth on Halloween 20 years ago

When high-energy particles from solar wind or CMEs escape Earth's magnetosphere and superheat upper atmosphere gas molecules, auroras are produced.

Red and green are the two most prevalent aurora colours, and they are both produced by oxygen molecules at various elevations.

In theory, under certain circumstances, molecules of nitrogen and oxygen can both emit orange wavelengths.

It is nearly hard to discern these wavelengths, though, because even then the orange is overpowered by the surrounding molecules' other colours.

"Orange" auroras are extremely unusual, even though red and green auroras commonly coexist in the sky.

Large auroral rays, which are vertical pillars of light that align along invisible magnetic field lines, are where the orange colour is most noticeable.

The greatest Halloween storm of 2003, the strongest solar storm in recorded modern history, was the last time such vivid pumpkin-like colours were observed.
