To provide people a peek of the huge world that exists beyond the Earth, NASA uses compelling shares.

The social media messages from NASA not only astound people but also educate them.

This Instagram video about the remains of a star's supernova explosion serves as a great illustration of that.

The video was published on the Hubble Space Telescope-specific Instagram page run by NASA.

"Catch the wave of (shock)! The Cygnus Loop, the shattered remains of a star's supernova explosion, is depicted in this time-lapse film using Hubble photos between 2001 and 2020.

In the caption, NASA also included a synopsis of the film. "Two pictures with the labels 2001 and 2020 alternately flicker.

They depict a horizontal orange ribbon of light extending against a star-studded background. It states, "The ribbon seems to stretch.

The shock front of the debris has grown over time and is now moving towards interstellar space at a speed of over 805,000 kilometres per hour, according to a caption that was provided with the video.
