WhatsApp has announced the rollout of instant video messages
The feature allows users of the popular instant messaging app to create and share videos directly in chats
Mark Zuckerberg introduced the feature on his Instagram channel, followed by a video on how it will work
The rollout of video messages has started on both Android and Apple iOS platforms

Video messages can be up to 60 seconds long
Video messages can be sent using the same button that WhatsApp users are already using to send voice messages
Users can also send voice selfie videos
There's also a swipe-up feature that allows users to record hands-free videos
Just like WhatsApp chats, video messages too are end-to-end encrypted
