Frane Selak, an elderly Croatian music teacher, gained global fame for surviving an unbelievable series of life-threatening incidents that seem straight out of a movie script.

Born in 1929 in Croatia, Selak lived an ordinary life as a music teacher until a series of tragic accidents began transforming his life in unimaginable ways.

His streak of survival began in 1957 when he escaped a bus accident that plunged into a river. Over the years, he survived a train derailment, two exploding cars, a plane crash (landing on a haystack), a cliff fall (saved by a tree), and being hit by a bus.
