Where is 2008 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed?

Saeed, 73, is desiganted as global terrorist by UN Security Council's Al-Qaida Sanctions Committee in December 2008.

Mumbai terror attack mastermind  Hafiz Saeed is serving a 78-year imprisonment sentence in Pakistan Governmet custody.

He is in the "custody" of the Government of Pakistan since 12 February 2020.

India asked Pakistan to extradite Saeed. 

The 2008 Mumbai terror attack mastermind is wanted by Indian probe agencies in several cases. 

Hafiz Abdul Salam Bhuttavi, founding member of Lashkar-e-Tayyiba and deputy to Saeed is "confirmed deceased.”

He died in a prison in May last year in Pakistan's Punjab province while serving a sentence.

Saeed traces his origins to a Gujjar family from Haryana who travelled to Pakistan’s Punjab during partition.

Saeed's brothers ran Islamic centres in Boston but were deported back to Pakistan for visa violations by U.S. government in 2007.
