Scientists have made a big discovery regarding the yellow color of urine.

They have discovered which enzyme is responsible for the yellow color of urine.

The discovery has been made by scientists from the University of Maryland and the US National Institute of Health.

According to them, the yellow color is due to urobilin.

Urobilin is formed when red blood cells are in their final cycle.

During this, an orange protein called bilirubin is released from the cells, which gets converted into urobilin.

Bilirubin reductase BiIRimn is present in the digestive tract of nearly all healthy adults.

At the same time, its absence can cause jaundice in infants
