This Device Converts Urine Into Electricity To Last For 45 Days

Wireless lantern known as WaterLight, created by E-Dina, generates electricity from natural resource like saltwater.

To create illumination for 45 days, the portable device needs to be loaded with 500 milliliters of seawater, or pee in an emergency.

This is made possible by the ionization of a saltwater electrolyte, which reacts with copper and magnesium plates inside the lamp to create electricity.

With its USB port, the WaterLight doubles as a portable power generator and can be used to recharge electronic gadgets like smartphones.

WaterLight is powered by ionization, which enables the lantern to generate electricity and light for extended periods of time, around the clock.

WaterLight was designed to be a long-lasting, fully recyclable product. It can operate for upto 5,600 hours, or more than 230 days or two to three years.

The apparatus is comprised of a wooden outer casing that is cylindrical in shape.

Its base is equipped with a circuit, and a perforated cap allows water to enter the device while allowing the hydrogen gas produced during the ionization process to exit.

The lamp can be emptied and refilled when the salt particles have evaporated, and the wasted water can be utilized again for cleaning or washing.
