Asteroid Threat!
Asteroids continue to pass close to the Earth. These are those rocky 'storms' which, like our planet, revolve around the Sun.
Whenever an asteroid comes near the Earth, scientists monitor it.
It is very important to do this because if an asteroid hits the Earth, it can cause major devastation.
These days huge asteroids are coming towards the Earth. For which NASA is issuing alerts.
Yesterday, Asteroid 2023 WH passed close to the Earth, which is a 120 feet rocky stone.
This asteroid was as big as an airplane and close to the Earth's orbit.
At its closest point, it was just 45.5 lakh kilometers away from the Earth.
Although it passed close to the Earth. But still, NASA keeps an eye on them.
